Porotherm-Solar.

Advancing thermo-chemical energy storages.

The goal of Porotherm-Solar is the development of a new thermochemical storage material based on Perovskite, a calcium titanate (CaTiO3). This is a naturally occuring and abundant material that changes the volume by oxidation and reduction.

Such an energy storage could be multifunctional as the Kraftblock storage, meaning it can be charged with waste heat or power-to-heat and the discharged heat could generate power or be used as heat directly.

Kraftblock is developing and constructing the energy storage system to go along with the material.
